Cultural Photography

Reading this article, I was able to look at photography and culture in another perspective. The writer explained how when people shoot for “culture”, the photos are really just tribal cultures. Culture is much more than that, culture is everywhere. It’s within cities, towns, households and much more.

When shooting for culture, people go in with what they think they know. To shoot for such a bit topic like culture, you have to know and understand it. Most people don’t do that so shooting for culture isn’t really an easy thing. So in conclusion, culture is all around us but it’s not something everyone can just spot and I learned a lot more about culture photography just from reading someone’s view on it.
